The Chatham County Fire Department proudly celebrated the graduation of its newest recruit class during a ceremony honoring the hard work, dedication, and achievement of these future firefighters. Family, friends, department personnel, elected county commissioners and county management gathered to recognize the recruits as they officially completed the rigorous academy and took their oath to serve and protect the citizens of Chatham County.
This recruit class marks Training Chief Joshua Anderson’s 12th graduating class. Under his leadership, Training Coordinator Jonathan Campbell and EMS Instructor Sara Sheffield, the program continues to develop highly trained and motivated firefighters, equipped with the skills and values needed to uphold the department’s mission of excellence in service and community safety.
The ceremony included remarks from department leadership, presentation of certificates, official badge pinning and presentation of their helmets.
