CCFD Hosts Inaugural Women's Summer Fire Camp

Open to students entering 10th, 11th, or 12th grade, the camp offers a unique opportunity for participants to engage in hands-on Fire and EMS training led by experienced fire service professionals.

The camp will run July 18-20, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily, and will be hosted at the Chatham County Fire Department Training Center,

Station 3, 2009 Grovepoint Rd. Savannah, Ga. 31419.

Participants will gain firsthand experience in real-life emergency response scenarios while learning lifesaving techniques, fire safety practices, and critical life skills. Under the supervision of dedicated CCFD instructors, campers will engage in an interactive, supportive, and safe environment designed to encourage teamwork, leadership, and self-confidence.

“This camp is an incredible opportunity to introduce young women in our community to the dynamic world of fire and EMS,” said Training Chief Joshua Anderson. “Participants will gain hands-on experience with the tools and techniques used in the field, while also learning the dedication and teamwork it takes to serve others during critical moments,” Anderson added.
