Chatham County Fire Department Approved as NAEMT TECC Training Site

The Chatham County Fire Department is proud to announce its official approval as a National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT) Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC) Training Site.

This designation represents a significant step forward in how we prepare and support responders across our community. Becoming an approved TECC training site brings nationally recognized, evidence-informed, real-world trauma care instruction closer to home — strengthening the capabilities of those who serve on the front lines.

TECC training is designed for the evolving nature of today’s emergency environment, equipping personnel to respond effectively to high-threat incidents, mass casualty events, and complex emergency scenes. The program focuses on rapid assessment, life-saving interventions, and coordinated care under challenging conditions when seconds matter most.
